Human-Centric
Manufacturing Lab
“Technology is the means; people are the end.
We design the future of manufacturing with people at the center.”
The Human-Centric Manufacturing Lab, established in 2024, was created with the aim of rethinking how people and machines collaborate in manufacturing processes. The main goal is to develop a “human-centric” approach—that is, to place people at the center of automation, transforming technology into an ally that enhances work rather than replacing it. This means designing systems in which safety, sustainability, and efficiency are not merely technical requirements, but fundamental values.
The laboratory was designed as an open and dynamic space capable of accommodating the most innovative technologies—even those still in the experimental phase—to test and identify the most effective solutions. The idea is to create an ecosystem where advanced mechatronic tools and intuitive human-machine interfaces can be integrated, fostering smooth and natural collaboration. In this way, the goal is to build the foundations of the factory of the future: production processes that are smarter, more flexible, and respectful of both people and the environment.

LaboratoryThe laboratory works across various technological fields
Human-Machine Interaction (HMI)
Implementation and development of cobot solutions designed to assist operators with heavy or repetitive tasks, ensuring complete safety without physical barriers.
Enabling technologies for the smart factory: AR and DT
Using Augmented Reality (AR) and Digital Twins to create smarter, more connected manufacturing environments. Together, these technologies transform the factory into a more efficient, predictive, and data-driven ecosystem.
Wearable devices
Wearable devices designed to support factory workers by enhancing safety, efficiency, and human-machine interaction through smart wearable technology.
Artificial Intelligence for Inclusion
Advanced algorithms that personalize interactions with machines, enabling even older workers or those with different abilities to work as effectively as possible.
